This is what I drank after my water fast. The cucumber is one of my favorite veggies. It’s delicious, nutritious and good for my belly. Did you know that cucumber contains lariciresinol, pinoresinol, and secoisolariciresinol, three lignans that reduce risk of cardiovascular disease as well as several cancer types, including breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers. Cucumber also has anti-inflammatory properties, it’s freaking amazing right? I also added grapes to this smoothie. Grapes are full of nutrients and taste divine. Try this smoothie if your easing out or in to a fast, or if you just want something delicious and refreshing. (see recipe below)
1 organic cucumber (peal it if you prefer a smoother taste, but remember there are lots of nutrients in the peal)
1 cup of grapes
1 cup of water
Mix everything in your blender. Do this often and your body will thank you!
