The first cover I ever made

I was going through old files on my laptop and found this. The first cover I ever made. It is for a track called “No enemy” that I later released on my EP Quest for Klarity (it’s on spotify if you want to listen).
?
I made this more than 10 years ago, before I knew anything about graphic design. I used a program called paint that I had on my PC laptop at that time. As I was looking at this cover I began reminicing.
?
I started my own label together with my producer Marco Deb in 2008. I was dedicated to doing EVERYTHING myself. I mean EVERYTHING, we even pressed our own CD’s in my living room. I can still smell the fumes from the gloss spray that we used for the finish. I personally delivered the ready made products to various stores by bike if it was in the city, or biked them to the post office for shipping. I managed myself, and did everything from taxes to PR.
?
I quickly learned that it was expensive to hire a graphic designer and people to build a website for me, so I decided to go back to collage and study media science to learn it myself. Lucky for me, collage is free in Sweden which means I have spent a good 10 years there, getting various degrees that I felt enabled me to serve love on this planet better.
?
I didn’t use this cover since I felt it was too unpolished at the time, but today I love it! It’s refreshing how raw it is and it reminds me not to be so careful and wait for everything to be perfect before I share it with the world.
After all, the world is yearning for our authentic expression.
?
I hope you take some time to shine today dear.
